Let's be clear on this.
IF the Ravens are able to hold on and win the division and
IF the Steelers don't have a monumental collapse of epic proportions, the Steelers
WILL get a wild card. If the Ravens falter at all, it is equally likely that the Steelers will win the division and push the Ravens into a wild card slot.
More than likely, if both teams are in the playoffs, they will meet at some point. It has been proven time and again that it is VERY difficult to beat a team 3 times in one season. The first Ravens-Steelers game was a blowout. the second game was VERY close. So of course there will be vocal fans who feel really good about the Steelers chances in that matchup.
To expect anything else is really just plain dumb.
