To be fair to Kalyx, all the signs were there: It was a superhero show, it was a new show on NBC, and as you mention, Summer Glau was in it.
Any one of these practically guaranteed its death. All three? Yeah.
Actually, still kinda surprised Castle is on, since Nathan Fillion had a similar streak of shows. Should probably watch that, too, but I thought "hey, it's got Mal in it. It'll be gone in three weeks."
Was this show not marketed well? I only knew its premise after stumbling across it on Netflix recently. The Cape, to me, sounded like it was gonna be some douchey drama/stimcom set on one of the famous capes around the country, not a superhero drama serial.
Really did enjoy it, though. It was nice and solid, but it flew so far under my radar it could have scrubbed my soles.
It's not the most brilliant series ever, but it had promise and the end of the season was nice. Only a couple of eps were even "meh" for me, most of them at least being good enough to keep me watching.
