True, but 09' Lesnar was a fair bit faster, stronger,.....and had more confidence....and I think on those virtues alone, it would have been enough to have taken Alistair.

During the Lesnar/Overeem match, we saw how Lesnar was the first one to mount atleast a little bit of offense. He not only cut Overeem, but he almost had a single leg take down as well (Overeem obviously, blocked it effectively). Lesnar didn't reallty commit to the takedown but I believe it would have been a different story in 09' Not only would have had committed, but he would have grabbed the leg a tad faster.....and that "tad" difference is what would have caused Overeem to go down....where Lesnar would've done the ground and pound and/or wrestling.

Even against Valasquez, Lesnar had a slight edge during the first 2:20 seconds. Cain defended exceptionally well, but I think the 09' version of Lesnar would've been more effective (although unlike Overeem, I am NOT prepared to say that the 09' version of Lesnar would have defeated Cain).
