Visceral Games, developers of the Dead Space series, next project will be a shooter after recent job postings reveal the company is hiring designers with expertise in online shooter map design.
The game is being termed as an "online action shooter" with the main focus revolving around online play.

Previous rumors stated EA was planning on expanding the Dead Space series to include other genres and gameplay types with a first person shooter being listed as a possibility. This game could end up as the rumored FPS game EA was planning for Dead Space after Dead Space 3 is released.
