I think it is more to what HHH said during the Slammy Awards.

He said that even though Taker won, he was carted out and HHH walked out. That even though he lost, he destroyed Taker and The Phenom was dead.

So I think it is more of a "I'd literally kill you this year. Go home, your time is done." pat on the back.
