Got my PSP in a sale, and it was worth the price, but I'm definitely not impressed by the choices Sony made.
Exactly this, I got an imported from Japan white PSP just after they launched because OOOH SHINY NEW THING. All it was back then was PS2 ports with the worst loading times in history. (and Metal Gear Acid, that I actually enjoyed).

Got my second PSP 2000 cheap due to Valkyria Chronicles 2 and Peace Walker and ended up finding gems in Disgea, Persona and Daxter. Well worth the Ł50 I paid, but not even close even at current retail price.

There's a couple of quirky looking Vita games that could be interesting, but I can already see them loading the thing with watered down current-gen console experiences. They're fine for long trips, but I have no desire to spend what they're asking on a handheld that has just that.

If they eneded up talking completely re-mastered PS1 classics with new GFX like the N64 3DS ports as well as IP I can't get on the main consoles, then we'd be talking.
