If anybody read my earlier post, I was eluding to the chatter going around that the Yankees are trying to work out a deal to send A.J. Burnett to the Pirates. Yankees want to get Garrett Jones out of it but it's looking like they'll get a prospect instead. The sticking point is the money. Burnett got $33 mil. remaining on his deal. Yanks wanna split it down the middle, Pirates only wanna pay $10 mil. of it. New York says that's not enough. No developments at this time.
O's sign Luis Ayala to a 1-year deal with an option for '13.
