MLB Network did a great breakdown of whether or not the Nationals should start the year with Bryce Harper in the big leagues. Historically, there have only been 2 great 19 year old hitters in the bigs (Mel Ott and Tony Conigliaro). The rest (Mantle, Griffey, etc.) didn't turn into stars until their age 20 season.

If I had to guess, they'll probably wait to call him up until they can fully guarantee he'll be under team control for an extra season. Otherwise, he'll hit free agency by the time he's 25. If he lives up to the hype he'd probably land the biggest contract of all time.
