I can say with 100% positivity that it is the case, and is exactly why he is doing it. It is a form of Marketing that otherwise could cost millions of dollars to produce.
In the end, all the marketing in the world will not save this business if we have a guy like John Cena leading the way as "The Man" it has been proven the last how many years.
This is why when Wrestlemania comes around, you see guys like The Rock, Shawn Michaels, Undertaker, HHH, StoneCold Steve Austin, Bret Hart, Chris Jericho, ect ect ect.. Because without them, they would have to sell the show with John Cena, CM Punk, and whoever else is the top stars in this company now a days.
Fact is, Rock is there to sell tickets, and PPV buys, and by getting millions (AND MILLIONS
) of people to talk about him, Cena, Cena's lady parts, Cena's missing balls, Kung Pow Bitch, ect ect, on twitter, how exactly can that be a bad thing in way of exposure to the fact they are fighting at Mania?
