Definitely wanna get to ST one of these years. Mets have been trying to get another team into the Port St. Lucie complex, much like how the Marlins and Cardinals share a facility in Jupiter and how other teams split complexes in Arizona. Having another team allows for easier game/workout flexibility plus it's cost effective.

As it is, 3 of the 4 closest teams are division rivals. Marlins (and Cardinals) are like 45 minutes away, Nationals and Braves are about 90 minutes away. After that the next closest team is the Astros like 2 hours away. The Dodgers heading to Arizona and the Orioles leaving for the west coast of Florida fucked things up big time. 4 of the 5 NL East teams play each other pretty much all spring. They'll make a few road trips to the west coast for games, but it causes travel issues. Mets drove like 4 hours to play the Twins last year only for the game to get rained out.

Mets are contractually obligated to stay in Port St. Lucie through like 2024 or something...but it gets voided if there are 4 or less teams on the east coast of Florida. Can't be too far off from everybody relocating to the west coast.
