You're right in what you are saying.
The Creative team in WWE have given no thought to the value of either this title, or the wrestlers competing for it.
It's totally apparent right now that Vince or Stephanie thinks that all Cruiserweights are good for is;
1. Jobbing in Squash Matches
2. Time-filling on Velocity
3. Un-funny storylines
4. Trying out ideas thought up while having drinks
5. Satisfying HHH's desire to bury talent on Smackdown
As for the value of the CW belt?
I'm fairly certain that there is no pride to be gotten from wearing this belt anymore.
Replacing it won't work, as the root problem will still be there.
Basically, WWE either doesn't know what to do with the Cruiserweights or doesn't care about them and regards them as fillers and jobbers, instead of a talented seperate class of wrestlers.

Exactly what I was thinking. This is why I am a little afraid of talented wrestlers like Low Ki, AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels going to the WWE because there is a chance that they will just be buried like nearly all other cruiserweights.
