If you wanted to get really, pointlessly technical, Guild Wars isn't even an MMORPG according to the developers. It's a CORPG. So it could very wall fall out of any other classifications.
But since it is literally the only CORPG in existence, and is only self-proclaimed by the devs, I think the rest of us will keep calling it what it is. An MMO.
