2009- Stafford/Sanchez
2004- Rivers/Manning
2002- Carr/Harrington
1999- Couch/McNabb
1998- Manning/Leaf
1995- McNair/ Collins
Unless I'm reading your table of top 5 selected QB's wrong, your inane notion that RG3 and Luck both can't be good because they're in the same draft seems pretty inconclusive. In terms of numbers, Sanchez's first three seasons are almost identical to Eli's, he's improved every season and by the way, dude played pretty well during those two AFC championship runs in the playoffs. Stafford's team just got there, so I don't see how you can call anyone in that pairing a bust.
Philip Rivers is statistically the better quarterback than Eli, but Eli has more rings. I don't think either of those guys are a bust.
Carr and Harrington were both busts.
I'll give you Couch as a flop, but he went # and stylistically who is RG3 more comparable to, Tim Couch or Donovan McNabb.
I'll give you Leaf as well, but unless RG3 has an addictive personality/mental disorder, I don't see how they compare.
Kerry Collins may not have been as good as McNair statistically, but he put up some nice numbers and did start his career on an expansion team. He actually threw for more yards in his career than McNair and had less talent around him overall. He also took the Giants to the Super Bowl. Let's not forget he did that as a functional alcoholic. Again, I ask, who is RG3 stylistically comparable to, McNair or Collins?
