No, I think it means he won't wrestle for this company. Extreme Reunion has always been about Shane Douglas wrestling. He's always been the in the main event of the shows.

I think it shows some growth on his part realizes that his time in the ring is over (at least in this company) and he doesn't want to be known as another guy like Ric Flair who wrestled far longer than he should have.

He has alot of knowledge of the wrestling business and can be a pretty good announcer when he is asked to.

The only problem with what he said is that nearly all the ECW guys are unreliable in the way he was talking about. So, I don't know how the company could actually bounce back.
