Are you serious right now? The flag of any country is a symbol of what that county has gone through. This is honestly the same thing as saying "People are mad because someone bashed a giant cross with Jesus on it to pieces."

Maybe you don't get the meaning on a flag and the tradation it holds. But as a former military personnel who did his tour in the Middle East; you are insane and need to learn a little bit about the history of your country.
