Rumors pointing to Nintendo possibly mentioning something about the 3DS hardware at E3 with either the small chance if a new redesigned model or more likely the announcement of a stronger battery for future 3DS will occur soon.

The rumor is being based on Amazon's Japan branch suddenly being "sold out" of all existing 3DS models and refuses to restock them until the day before Nintendo's press conference.
