There aren't any players left on the DL that will make a huge difference really. Ruben Tejada will slot back in at SS, but Omar Quintanilla's been incredible in his absence. Ronny Cedeno and Justin Turner are pretty much strictly bench guys.

The big guy to come off the DL was Bay, who Mets fans were hoping would finally show something - unfortunately he ended up going 0-for-12 and he still looks lost at the plate. I have no idea why signing that contract sucked away his talents, but it did. I think he may get the Oliver Perez/Luis Castillo treatment and get cut during next spring before the final year of his deal starts.

Between Bay sucking, Ike having one good at-bat per every 25, and Murphy losing all of his power - the Mets have to pretty much be carried by their pitching. But their bullpen is just atrocious. Nobody they seem to throw out there can hold on to the lead in a close game.

4 really hard series coming up - Rays, Reds, Orioles, Yankees. If they get through that at 6-6 I'd be impressed.
