Mets are appealing BJ Upton's first inning hit, saying it should be an error on David Wright. If overturned, Dickey would have the second Mets no hitter in 2 weeks after the team had gone 50+ years without one.
However Collins, Dickey, and Wright have pretty much told everybody not to hold their breath. Too close to call. Don't see Selig awarding a retroactive no-hitter. If he wouldn't award a blatant perfect game, he's not gonna award a no hitter.
Probably just the baseball gods evening things out after the Beltran call from Johan's no-no.
