Dan Plesac suggested that the Rangers go after Hamels. Wonder if they'd actually consider it considering they mortgaged the future for Cliff Lee in 2010, didn't win the World Series, and then lost him as a free agent. They might vault past the Yankees as World Series favorites with that pitching, though.

On the other side of the equation, I shudder to imagine the great young prospects that the Phillies would rake in as a result.
