Pretty much what was said here. I think the win over Hogan at BFG 2011 was a good final main event for the two of them (personally, the psychology and build up for that match made up for Hogan's physical condition). I also have to respect Sting putting over Bobby Roode as World Champion at Victory Road and Slammiversary this year. I'm sure he could have pulled a power play and written another world title run into his new contract but it doesn't seem like he did.

Side note, if WWE did make a DVD about his career they would have to leave out his reinventions as the bulked up hybrid Sting in 06 (the black/ white paint with the red or green mixed in) and the recent run as the "Insane Icon". I think those are important to show his versatility and ability to rejuvenate his career.
