No matter how much money the players end up keeping, I really hope that the NHL will successfully include the 5 year limit on contracts.
No more of these grand 15 year deals that are front loaded in order to circumvent the cap hit. Whatever the player is earning in a given season, must be the cap hit for that given season.
I do hope that the cap is successfully lowered. It's crazy how much the cap ceiling has increased since it first came into effect.
Hopefully the NHL can avoid losing another season. If it happens again, can we expect a lockout every time the CBA ends?
