Ref union and NFL still unable to come to any agreements with the lockout already costing the refs about 1/3 of what they make per year.
Biggest issue right now involves pension and benefits with the NFL promising small and gradual pay increases with certain conditions until 2018 while the refs union is complaining the NFL will get all that money back with slashes in benefits and pensions by then.
The NFL themselves are more concerned about threatening teams if they keep criticizing replacement refs than getting a deal done with the ref union.
