Bobby Heenan would have never apologized. We live in such PC times. The heels in the 1980's WWF had a pair of balls. Hell, they kayfabed all the time even when not on TV and while just out in public. They'd refuse to give little kid's autographs and they'd make them cry, they'd kick the crap out of marks at bars who fucked with them, they'd beat the shit out of fans at wrestling events who attacked them and a damn federal case was not made out of it, etc. It was great. The heels back in the day protected the business and stayed in character.
This whole story with JBL punking out is one of the many reasons why I do not care for today's pussy-ass WWE.
