I think you are definitely underestimating much of the WWE roster. Many guys with wrestling skills don't even get a chance to shine or are not used properly (Sean O' Haire, Ultimo Dragon, Paul London, etc.), so we don't get to see how they would perform. Flair is definitely a ring tactician, and sells moves as great as anyone, but he has definitely lost a step in the ring. His timing has deteriorated with age, and he hesitates a lot before performing a move.

I will agree with this. The main reason why he is in Evolution is to use his mic skills to put over Randy Orton and Batista, and since the group is called Evolution, Flair is one of the biggest legends ever with 16 world title runs, so he is the past 'evolution' of the sport.

Yeah I was definitely marking out, his promos are unbelievable, and seeing him with the title again would have been an awesome way for him to go out.
