Just got home from watching the PPV, here are some thoughts.

Benoit and Edge vs. La Resistance

I missed most of it, I'm glad that Kane got involved to screw Benoit over because Benoit or Edge would've looked pretty weak losing to a La Resistance member. Glad to see La Resistance having a title run.

Chris Jericho vs. Tyson Tomko

Tomko was pretty green which we all expected; seems like he's trying to copy Goldberg's style of using 3 to 4 moves per match. Despite all that, Tomko did have a few impressive moments, but other than those the rest was all Jericho. I figured Tomko wouldn't tap, but I would've liked to see the Lionsault instead of his running enziguri which should be used as a set up maneuver for the Lionsault. I give it **

Randy Orton vs. Shelton Benjamin

I enjoyed the Orton promo, as usual. Shelton was very impressive in the ring, perhaps one of the best matches I've seen him in yet. Orton had a great neckbreaker, but other than that he was made to look weak compared to Shelton which isn't good for his reputation. I'm guessing they'll have a rematch at Summerslam. ***

Lita vs. Trish vs. Gail Kim vs. Victoria

Not much I can say here. The match was too short, Lita botched a lot of moves, and the wrestling wasn't anything special with the exception of Gail Kim. *

Eugene vs. Coach

We all knew this match would be a joke, and I laughed my ass off when Eugene gave those Stunners to Coach and Garrison.

Chris Benoit vs. Kane

Not as bad as I thought it'd be. Benoit carryed most of the match, but Kane had his moments. As usual Kane didn't sell anything which helped draw the match out longer. I enjoyed Benoit's several attempts to put Kane in the sharpshooter, and I thought the half nelson roll-up suited the finish because I knew Kane wouldn't tap, and the Flying Headbutt is just lousy. ***

Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels

Great no holds barred match, but what the hell is the point of a cell if you're only going to use it for rubbing your opponent's head against it. the didn't climb the cell, hell they couldn't even exit the cell. It was a complete waste of a gimmick match, and money to even have the cell constructed because everything happened in the ring. And what happened in the ring was nothing special. Oh yeah they beat each other to a bloody pulp, HELLO SUMMERSLAM 2002!! The match would've been alright if it wasn't Hell in a Cell, wasn't the main event, and didn't last so God damn long. 1/2*

Had to get that off my chest.
