Gus was more subtle I thought. And to be fair I'm not 100% convinced he is gay, but I know they kind of left it open but they did certainly hint at it. With Dexter guy, from the start it seemed like it. It was either he was BFF and had a brotherly relationship with guy, or they were gay together. And since they never really gave a back story for awhile, the gay thing fit more and more.
