I'd really like to see a serious fan backlash against the NHLPA and NHL once hockey resumes. Fehr destroyed baseball in '94, he will leave his mark on our beloved NHL as well.
I haven't cared about baseball for the last 10 years, but with the Jays recent roster improvements, I'm pretty much ready to jump on the baseball band wagon and forget about hockey for a while (but I'm sure I'll tune in to HNIC to see Ron & Grapes - at least for their initial broadcast during the 60th year of HNIC).
When hockey finally resumes, if the NHL prints a large, stupid message across the neutral zone again (like "Thank you Fans"), I will cringe. Would love to see some tumble weeds blowing across arena seating. The league and players take the fans for granted, while happily taking all our hard earned cash. I hate to say it, but it's time to say "no" to professional (business) hockey... for a while, not forever
