Edge and Chris Benoit vs. La Resistance (c)

The music of La Resistance hit in the arena and La Resistance made their way out to the ring and Lilian Garcia announced Rob Conway as Robaire Conway and is tag team partner, Sylvan Grenier. Sylvan Grenier grabbed the microphone and sang the French National Anthem to a chorus of boos from the crowd in attendance until Edge's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring, followed by his tag team partner, Chris Benoit!

The start:

Sylvan Grenier started the match off in the ring against Edge and the two locked it up in the center of the ring and Edge put Sylvan in a side headlock and then Edge he put Sylvan in a hammer lock and Sylvan countered it into a hammer lock and a head lock of his own until Edge countered it with a top wrist lock and then a shove down to the mat.

Mid-match notes:

Behind the referee's back, Rob Conway grabbed Edge and rammed him into the security wall, back first. Rob Conway then rolled Edge back into the ring where Sylvan Grenier covered him for a two count. Sylvan then dragged Edge to the La Resistance corner and then he and Rob Conway double teamed Edge.

Edge knocked Sylvan Grenier down to the mat with a spinning heel kick and he crawled over in an attempt to make a tag to Chris Benoit but Rob Conway ran over and knocked him down to the arena floor. Grenier and Conway went for a double team suplex on Edge but Edge floated over and pulled the two down to the mat with a double neck breaker.

The finish:

Chris Benoit pulled Sylvan Grenier down to the mat and put him in the sharpshooter but Robiare Conway flew across the ring to break it up. Edge and Benoit almost collided but Edge stopped short and Chris Benoit put Sylvan Grenier in the Crippler Crossface and Edge knocked Rob Conway out of the ring and then Kane's pyro went off and he stormed to the ring and gave Chris Benoit a big boot to knock him down to the mat to end the match in a disqualification.

Winners by disqualification, Edge and Chris Benoit, but still Tag Team Champions, La Resistance

The Aftermath:

Kane gave Edge a big boot as well and then he grabbed Chris Benoit and planted him with a choke slam and then he gave Edge a choke slam as well. On the outside of the ring, Kane grabbed Chris Benoit and whipped him into the steel ring steps and then he headed to the backstage area with an evil grin on his face as Chris Benoit was writhing in pain.

Backstage:

Eric Bischoff was shown backstage with The Coach and Eric Bischoff told him that he looks like he's ready but he has to point out one thing. Eric has done his job and got rid of William Regal; he will not be at ringside. So The Coach has to get rid of Eugene once and for all. The Coach told Eric not to worry about it, it's done. Eric said that he's sick and tired of Eugene, he's an embarrassment and tonight, he wants Coach to get rid of him. Coach started to leave but then he came back and pointed out something to Eric Bischoff. Coach laughed but Eric didn't seem too happy. Eugene showed up and he looked to be upset. Eric asked what the problem is? How much of that did he hear? Eugene sadly said "You don't like me, Uncle Eric." Eric tried to explain that's not what he said. Uncle Eric is just trying to protect him. Look at it this way; who is Eugene's favorite wrestler? Triple H. Does Eugene remember when he broke that big muscle in his leg and couldn't walk? That could happen to Eugene. Eugene said his legs are fine, he can walk. Eric said he knows that, but how about Chris Benoit? He broke his neck. That could happen to Eugene and he doesn't want that to happen. Eric said he's going to give Eugene a choice; call off the match and Eugene can get on an airplane and tell all of his friends that he was in the WWE. Or he can go out there tonight and wrestle. What's it going to be? Eugene happily said that he wants to wrestle! He can wrestle!

Tyson Tomko vs. Chris Jericho

Chris Jericho's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring, set for a singles match against the man who is making his pay per view debut here tonight, Tyson Tomko, accompanied to the ring by Trish Stratus!

The start:

Tyson went for a shot on Jericho but Jericho ducked it and then he went to hit Tyson but Tyson grabbed him and slammed him into the corner. Tyson backed Jericho into the corner and gave him a number of reverse elbows and then he whipped Y2J off the ropes and Jericho slid under the feet of Tyson Tomko and then laid into him with a number of knife edge chops.

Mid-match notes:

Tyson Tomko picked Chris Jericho up from the top rope and then pressed him over his head and pulled him down into a gut buster as Trish looked on from the outside of the ring.

Chris Jericho went for the lionsault but Tyson Tomko rolled out of the way to send Y2J crashing down to the mat. Tyson kicked Chris Jericho in the ribs and then he lifted him over his shoulder and gave him a shoulder breaker and covered him but only got a two count as Chris Jericho was somehow able to kick out of it.

Chris Jericho went for the Walls of Jericho but Tyson Tomko kicked Chris to send him back. Chris then took Tyson down with a chop block and went for the Walls of Jericho once again but was unable to get it on as Tyson kicked Chris back.

The finish:

Trish hopped to the ring apron and tried to distract Jericho but she failed as Tyson ran into her to knock her down from the ring apron and then Chris Jericho nailed Tyson Tomko with a running Enziguri and then the pin for the three count to get the win!

Winner - Chris Jericho
