Todd Grisham was shown with Randy Orton and Todd said it's obviously a huge night for Randy Orton and Evolution because later tonight, Randy defends the Intercontinental Title. Randy interrupted Todd, asking him what tomorrow marks? Tomorrow marks the half year anniversary that he has been the Intercontinental Champion. He has had the longest reign of anyone in the last seven years and he left Mick Foley in a pool of his own blood. He beat him at his own game. Granted, Shelton Benjamin is a better athlete than Mick Foley but there is something that Shelton Benjamin doesn't have that Randy has and that is greatness. Randy took exception to the fans, asking if they're booing him because he's done more than anyone in that arena at his age, so don't test him because he will come out there. The fans continued to boo and Randy Orton told the camera man to follow him because he is going out to the arena. Randy said that if the fans want to boo him, he'll come out early and they can have it their way. Get a look at greatness. Randy told the fans that you're looking at the man that ended Mick Foley's career and spit in Mick Foley's face. The fans have their jobs and sure they work hard for that raise and work hard to become the employee of the month. That's greatness to them but the Intercontinental Title is real greatness and you're looking at real greatness. That's just his point; there are millions of people like the fans out there. And that's his point is that Randy Orton is one in a million. Randy Orton went through the crowd to get to the ring and he said that greatness has entered the ring and the fans may now bow. About his match with Shelton Benjamin, Randy Orton wants the respect that he deserves from each and every one of them. He wants them to stand up on their feet and respect Randy Orton because he is Randy Orton and he is the living legend. Randy Orton got on the ropes and he said as well as the Intercontinental Champion, thank you very much.

Intercontinental Championship Match
Referee: Jack Doan
Shelton Benjamin vs. Randy Orton (c)

With Randy Orton posing on the ropes, Shelton Benjamin's music hit in the arena and he made his way out to the ring and this match is scheduled for later tonight, but let's see what's up now. Shelton snatched the microphone out of Randy's hand, asking him if he ever shuts up? There's not a person in this building that gives a damn about what he has to say. But since Randy Orton is out here right now and he has his gear on and Shelton has his gear on, let's forget that later tonight b.s. that he was talking about. Let's do this right now!

The start:

Referee Jack Doan came out to the ring and called for the bell and Shelton Benjamin rolled Randy Orton up to pin him for a two count and then Shelton Benjamin gave Randy Orton a drop kick to knock him to the outside of the ring and you could hear some fans chanting 'Randy, Randy!' Shelton Benjamin gave Randy Orton a baseball slide to knock him down to the arena floor.

Mid-match notes:

On the outside of the ring, Shelton Benjamin knocked Randy Orton over the security wall into the crowd and then he got in the ring for a second to break the referee's count. Shelton then grabbed randy Orton and brought him over to ringside and slammed him onto the ring apron. Shelton rolled Randy in the ring and covered him for a two count.

As the match was going on, Ric Flair made his way out to the ringside area and the crowd responded with resounding Woooos!

Randy Orton put Shelton Benjamin in a reverse headlock down on the mat to wear him down but Shelton fought to get to his feet, lifting Randy Orton up on his back and dropping him down to the mat with an electric chair drop.

Randy Orton lifted Shelton Benjamin onto his shoulder and then dropped down to the mat, giving Shelton Benjamin a neck breaker. Randy then covered Shelton but only got a two count.

Randy Orton went for the RKO but Shelton got out of it and Randy locked Shelton in a back slide position and went to give him a back slide but Shelton got out of it and knocked Randy Orton silly with the dragon whip kick and then he covered Randy to get a two count. Shelton Benjamin then hit Randy Orton with a stinger splash in the corner and then he gave him a t-bone suplex and then a pin for a two count as Ric Flair put Randy Orton's foot on the bottom rope. Shelton Benjamin got out of the ring and went after Ric Flair and gave him a right hand and then he rolled him into the ring and whipped him off the ropes and gave him a back body drop. Shelton then hit Flair with a stinger splash and then he hit Randy with another stinger splash. Shelton then gave Ric Flair a clothesline and then put him in the figure four to a chorus of boos from the crowd in attendance. As Shelton had Flair in the figure four, Shelton rolled Randy up in a pin to get a two count as Randy kicked out of it.

The finish:

Ric Flair went to the ring apron and Shelton bumped Randy into Flair to knock him down from the ring apron and then Shelton rolled Randy up for another two count. Shelton Benjamin went to the top rope and came off with a cross body but Randy rolled through and hooked the tights to pin Shelton Benjamin for the three count to retain the title.

Winner and still Intercontinental Champion, Randy Orton

Backstage:

Lita was shown in her locker room warming up for tonight and Matt showed up, asking if she's ready. Lita said that she is. Nervous, but ready. Matt said that tonight is going to be the night and Lita told Matt what she needs from him and that's a kiss. Someone knocked on the door and the event staff entered the room and Matt seemed upset, because this is a private female dressing room. Eric Bischoff showed up, saying that his security staff is here to remove Lita's boyfriend from the arena. Before he even starts, he knows Matt Hardy has no intention of interfering in the World Title Match, but just to make sure, they are going to escort him from the arena. Matt said that he is here to watch Lita's match and Eric said that he's a fair guy. He can remove Lita from the match, but that choice is up to Matt. Since the match is coming up next, Lita has 60 seconds to make up her mind. Eric said that he'll be outside and not to keep him waiting. Matt told Lita that he has to go and Lita didn't want him to leave. Matt said he has to. He knows what the Women's Title means to her and he knows she's going to win it and he doesn't want to stop that. She'll be fine. Matt Hardy left the room and security escorted him out of the arena.

Fatal Four Way Match
Referee: Michael Chioda
Trish Stratus vs. Lita vs. Gail Kim vs. Victoria (c)

Trish Stratus made her way out to the ring, accompanied by Tyson Tomko and this is a Sudden Death Fatal Four Way Match with Victoria defending the Women's Championship against Trish, Lita and Gail Kim!

The start:

Victoria and Lita set their sights on Trish but Trish bailed out of the ring and then Lita and Victoria went to double team Gail Kim but Trish pulled Lita out of the ring and then Tyson Tomko went towards Lita to intimidate her as Victoria hit the standing moonsault and a pin for a two count on Gail Kim.

Mid-match notes:

Lita rolled Trish Stratus up in a pin for a two count as Tyson Tomko broke up the pin. Michael Chioda then got out of the ring and ejected Tomko from the ringside area. Lita then gave Trish the Twist of Fate and then a pin for a two count as Gail Kim broke it up.

Gail Kim put Victoria in a modified Crippler Crossface to drop Victoria down to the mat but she was unable to get her to tap out.

The finish:

Lita gave Gail Kim a DDT and then she went to pin her but Trish Stratus rolled Lita up for the three count to win the Women's Title!
