I read that Bret knocked himself out when he was putting in the figure four on the ring post (check out how his head bounces off the floor at 14:54). So in reality, Goldberg didn't concuss Bret. Bret concussed Bret.  |
That maybe, it was just the easiest way to say he was finished as a wrestler, generally saying 'Goldberg finished Bret' is the quickest way to do that, a bit like saying 'Russo killed WCW'
