I thought he did, after much hesitation, crying, and dramatic pausing.

They'll likely either appear later and unexpectedly, like Merle did... it's not like Rick has a radio anymore. I mean, they did also fail to explain the helicopter from season 1 until a few episodes into season 3.


Another thought is that those two may crossover into the game somehow. I would have guessed those were the "two figures", but they're both the same height, and didn't have a child/adult disparity. Almost like a "season 1.5" for those two.
