Bad Blood:
First off, what was with the crowd?
Loads of RANDY chants and even a Triple H chant during the HIAC Main Event?
Weird!
Anyway, overall I thought the whole PPV was alright. Not brilliant and not crap. Okay.
I liked Tomko - I was really impressed with this guy.
Quite a large range of moves for a big hoss. It was good that he didn't rely on punches, kicks and growls, but actually pulled quite a few good moves out of the bag during this match. Yet to see what he's like on the mic, but I'm sufficiently impressed with what I've seen that I'm declaring myself an official Tomko Mark. I just hope he doesn't get 'Matt-Morgan-ed'.
Solid match from Jericho, and this was one of the three top matches of the night for me.
Eugene - pure gold! This was the match that stole the show.
I really hope that they keep Eugene around for a while and give him a massive unbeaten streak, so that at some point, he's beaten everyone on the roster, and can legitamitely challenge for the title.
The match with Coach was excellent, hilarious, and vastly entertaining.
The ending had me crying with laughter with the Rock Bottom, People's Elbow and then two Stone Cold Stunners!
Pure Gold!
Randy Orton v Shelton Benjamin
From start to finish I thought this was solid. Entertaining and creative match with Randy Orton actually impressing me on the mic beforehand! That's a first!
I loved when he stumbled on the ropes, and I creased up laughing when he sold the 'T-shirt shot to the face' from Benjamin!
The match itself was good, steady and nicely varied.
I felt disappointed that they let Flair interfere in the match as it would have been great to see Orton do this on his own, however the figure-four on Flair, and the roll-up on Orton at the same time was fantastic stuff.
I'm glad that Orton won this (did I just say that?) and I'm glad that he didn't use the RKO, even if he did have to pull the shorts to win.
(did anyone else think Orton botched the roll-up?)
HHH v HBK
2 words: Piss Boring!
This match went on forever. I actually nodded off for 5 minutes in the middle of it, went for a fag, and when I came back, nothing had really changed!
(then I watched the video of what I had missed afterwards)
This match started off well, and went downhill from there, I'm sad to say.
Kane/Benoit
Good solid match from both men. Kane managed to keep his credibility and still job clean, Benoit managed to look like the technical grappler that he is.
Good on both of these men! Absolutely solid match, that should have been the main event from the start!
Bad Blood was a bit of a strange PPV for me, as I felt that the mid-card outshone the last 2 matches.
It highlighted how stale the HHH v HBK feud has gotten, and how much potential RAW has on it's rosters.
Hopefully see them build on this at the next one.
Looking forward to seeing RAW to see what they come up with......
and lastly, MATT HARDY MADE IT ONTO A PPV!
they need to use this guy!
