The WWE "Hall of Fame" has just become a political kiss-ass fest. It's a place to get jerked off on paper. It has a duality in the sense that it seems legit for a lot of guys, but for others, it seems purely political. Some wrestlers have been inducted who are relatives to big stars in the WWE, preceding a rather incomplete list of wrestling legends and greats in induction.
Now you're inducting the Nasty Boys because you want to stack more "legacy" on a relationship between the company and the arena. They're from New York. Other than that, they've held tag team titles in just about every major promotion, but they never stayed around long anywhere.
To be blunt, the Nasty Boys didn't do shit for wrestling. They were spokes on the wheel.
The Hall of Fame should be reserved for people who have spearheaded the WWE's mission to become the one-stop-shop for wrestling and "sports entertainment." Perhaps even deserving Hall of Fame recognition are those who had their "great moments," those things that made you totally mark out.
Before recently, I had never even heard of Mil Mascaras. That excludes me from being allowed to say whether or not he's worthy of the Hall of Fame, but isn't "Fame" part of the whole thing?
I just don't think the Nasty Boys belong in the company of Hulk Hogan. I piss on the WWE Hall of Fame with my dick.
