Well, your way is good, though with the randomly selected numbers it might make the game more fun. This might be slow to fill up and if there are still spaces by Monday and for example, Dolph Ziggler manages to get number 28, someone might decide to select the vacant #28 spot because of it and if Ziggler did win, it wouldn't really be that much fun, or a victory for the guy.

So with the random selection thing, the spaces will fill up fast and you get what your given and you watch the Rumble match waiting to see who will be randomly representing you in the game.

Also, it might not be so fun for people if a number they were originally going to select, wins and they think "Damn, I should have went with my original choice."

But it's all your choice which way we play.
