I think Lovie Smith will be fine with a Coordinator's position or a year off from football. He's a great coach.

But this isn't about race, it's about the progression of the NFL. The league is becoming more and more offensive focused. With that much being understood, It's a logical choice to see teams hire Offensive Coordinators as Head Coaches. Now there are few, if any African American Offensive Coordinators in the NFL right now so the likelihood of seeing another 'unknown' head coaching hire be black, we're gonna wait a while. We won't see another black canidate until Kevin Sumlin is ready to leave Texas A&M
