If all he had to do was come along and give Punk a choke slam and a tombstone, then yeah he'd definitely be there. But a lot more is expected of him and approximately 300% of people watching would be disappointed if that's all the match consisted of.

It's entirely plausible that his body isn't ready for a full match after surgeries. It's also entirely plausible that the rumours of his injuries could've even been leaked by the wwe to throw people off his return. I don't know if he'll be at mania.

But the entire logic behind "if he's willing to come and do a minute long squash of Hunico on Raw, he'll definitely be willing to wrestle a 30 minute long match at wrestlemania" is very daft.
