Johan will be making his first ST start sometime this week. The plan was to get him 4 ST starts and then have him go Opening Day. Not sure that's realistic at this point. More likely scenario is Jon Niese starts Opening Day with the Mets carrying an extra bullpen guy and Johan on the DL. A Johan DL stint can be backdated in a way that he'll only miss one turn through the rotation.

The Mets will only go as far as their pitching takes them this year, so hopefully Johan can get 30 starts in.
