League discussed playing opener on Wednesday Sept 4 but decided against that day because that's Rosh Hashanah.

NFL kickoff game will be played on Thursday, sept 5. Orioles also have game that night and have yet to agree to move it to this point.

Per league source, NFL kickoff game in Baltimore is sort of in limbo. Ravens and orioles have not been able to agree to compromise.
