ok, here's the scoop...
got just about everything I "really need" outlook.pst, my work files, quickbooks, even got favs and cookies (got all this by loading a 2nd ver of XP) the new version if I'm not in safe mode crashed a lot... but was able to get stuff burned to CD.
So, going to wipe this thing out and start from scratch... also found my e-mail accounts for outlook exported on my laptop, so I can pull them from there...
I guess this might be a good thing, have had a wireless network sitting in the box for 2 months so might as well kill 2 birds w/ 1 stone....
Stuff like my firewall (zone labs) and anti-virus (Nortons) I can just download again, since I'm paid/registered w/ them and only got the download ver and never made a CD... hmm... probably should go pick up some CD/RW and setup a regular backup schedule while I think of it...
