I'm not saying that these reports are accurate. I'll LOL when "If ya smell!" blares over the PA on RAW if he is there. It just seems like a weird thing to make up, because if it is falsely reported it really blows up the credibility of those reporting it.
Remember the swerve a few years back where on WWE.com it was reported that one of the Hardys (can't remember for certain, but I'm thinking it was Jeff) had suffered a heart attack and everyone bought it?

Could be (probably not) a similar situation here.
