I really loved Gregory Helms when he was a serious heel on SmackDown. Paul London, Brian Kendrick & Greg Helms pretty much made that show something worth watching each week. Maybe not in a "Holy shit! You've gotta check out what these guys are doing!" way, but you always got solid wrestling from them. Helms was the Cruiserweight Champion in 2006 when Rey Mysterio was World Heavyweight Champion, and I always felt that they should have had Helms challenge Rey on the very basis that Rey is a cruiserweight and Helms was the Cruiserweight Champion. There should have been the question of which guy was better.
TNA could do far worse than signing Helms to a contract, especially if they plan on padding their X-Division. The WWE could bring him back, too, but is the dude a bit of a renegade these days?
