no, i know. i miss nine too. and yeah, based on everything i've seen too, i'm not saying the "lost doctor" theory doesn't make sense. i'm just that i don't really like it. i'll keep an open mind - maybe they'll explain it in a satisfactory manner and i'll be like "oh, i can't believe i thought this would be bad!" when it happens. just saying, at the outset, seems like a bad idea, unless he's not an entirely new incarnation and really is just the eighth towards the end of his life. which i would actually be fine with.

either way, it's not like i'm going to hate the 50th. it's got ten in it, so i am happy as a kid in a candy store. i love eleven and, hell, i probably even relate more to eleven than i did ten, but ten is "my" doctor. he was my first doctor (although i went back and watched nine's series once i got into the show; i just got into it after nine had already left), and you never really get over your first doctor. so pretty stoked he's coming back for it. does not dull the pain that eccleston is not, though. i would have loved to see him one last time.
