Nintendo announces they are currently developing plans to increase StreetPass usage outside of Japan. The idea is to use their existing wifi networks in McDonalds and Starbucks to also act as StreetPass spots while they expand into more areas.

They also stated the 3DS will be getting another strong push soon with the goal to make the handheld attractive enough that studios put their best teams making games for it.

Nintendo also hinted a lot of unannounced games for the 3DS are currently in development.
