Seems like he flat out just hated the guy recently and thought it was better to get rid of him than deal with any future problems. Can't be anything related to Lloyd dating Hernandez's girlfriend sister since it seems like Hernandez didn't care nor any known domestic violence.

According to ESPN, the whole case might come down to if they can find the missing weapon used in the shooting and if the other 2 guys testify against Hernandez.
