Listen to The Inevitable Rise and Liberation of NiggyTardust and you'll see what I mean. It's cool that Kayne is doing new stuff in a played out genre in the mainstream but Kayne does not seem that genuine to me. Like he took that whole leather jacket and black clothes thing because it's become trendy to be dark or have some rocker image. 10 years ago most of the typical hip hop fans who like him wouldn't even think of that look as cool.

Now I have ghetto kids giving me compliments on my vest with band patches, which is nice but odd.

Basically I'm saying Kayne is an over hyped artist. This has nothing to do with samples or covers. Kayne took what Saul Williams was doing and people are all over Kayne saying how amazing and innovative he is.
