It's still 6 weeks out but this is the time of the year when I really start getting amped up for football.
Biggest objective for the Giants in pre-season (besides getting out of there healthy, of course) is going to be figuring out who starts at linebacker. The unit as a whole looks pretty underwhelming, could be make it or break it for a guy like Herzlich.
I don't really see there being any competitions on the offensive side of the ball. Reporters are saying Justin Pugh will be given a chance to win the starting right tackle job, but Coughlin's been notorious for not throwing rookies right into the fire, and I think it will be a cold day in hell before he benches Diehl.
