Sympathy? When was the last time somebody gave sympathy to Benoit, or the Rock, or Stone Cold, etc?
Personally, I think if done right, it could be a really interesting change of pace. The crowd did seem to react well to Big Show when he was a face, and he could definitely be credible climbing into the ring and plowing through a whole stable. It'd be better than some aging, half drunken bald man running in with BAHGAWDSTUNNAONRVDSTUNNAONHEYMANTWOFINGERSALUTEBBQSAUCESTUNNERSTUNNERSTTUNNERONEVERYBODEH. It'd be better for the credibility of the stable involved, at least.
Problem is that it would have to be handled well...and the WWE tends to screw up that sorta thing...but I'm not telling you anything you don't already know.
