you look at him and you see someone who's likely to be more like nine in his characterisation, which can be no bad thing. i hope he's markedly darker than the previous two incarnations. dunno. at first i was like "ehhhh" but the more it sits with me, the more i think they made a really good decision to go this way. will be interesting to see how it all unfolds.
