Think the biggest issue is money since it costs a lot more money to produce live shows than taped ones. Also a lot more easier for them to control things without having to worry about the crowd or matches being sloppy unlike live shows.
Tuesday's potential ratings probably would be higher than Friday's but the WWE probably feels the difference isn't worth the added long term costs.
