If you must know, I took offense partially because my father and brother have taken part in many a local “Race for the Cure” since my mother’s untimely passing, although she did make it abundantly clear several months before her passing that she was glad for the nearly half-century she ended up having.


I’m sure there are other charitable organizations that deal with breast cancer awareness and research, etc., but S.G.K. is the one my family and I happen to support, other folks’ opinions aside, which is not to say that yours is not important or that it’s invalid, it just seemed extremely harsh in the way it came off, whether you meant it to or not.
